Dr. Alexandra Garcia is board licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Her practice focus is in perinatal support and pediatrics. Alexandra offers private sessions in her Brooklyn office and provides home/work visits in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She also runs the Woven Bodies project with her wife Morgane Richardson.
Alexandra supports her clients using a holistic approach. Her treatments weave together a variety of modalities from Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture, cupping, herbal formulations, and dietary guidance.
She came to acupuncture after completing a bachelor's in psychology at Middlebury College. Alexandra earned her doctorate in East Asian medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She then completed a two year post-doctoral program at NYU-Langone Brooklyn under the mentorship of Claudia Citkovitz and Tzivya Kraus, where she assisted in training acupuncture students in clinical rotation on the Labor & Delivery Unit.
